External Preparation Instructions

Please read the information below before we arrive.

This will ensure minimal hindrances on the day and will help us to deliver you with the highest quality clean!

IMPORTANT CHECK LIST FOR HOUSE WASHING
To achieve the ultimate clean there is DILUTED BLEACH present in our cleaning solution.

Although we do not use high pressure on your house it is still possible for some water to get inside through windows/door frames. All care is taken to prevent this from happening. Use old towels if you are concerned with leakage.

1.CLOSE ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS –
Ensure your windows and doors are closed and INFORM US IF YOU KNOW THEY LEAK. To ensure items within your home are free from possible discolouring, please move furniture, clothing, curtains and blinds from around the windows if they have a tendency to leak. We CANNOT tell if there are leaks. Use old towels if you are concerned.

2.REMOVE OR COVER YOUR BELONGINGS -
Please make sure the areas being cleaned are free from items that cannot or should not get wet or could possibly be affected by the cleaning materials. I.e. couches, TVs, radios, pillows, clothing, books, paintings etc. If you are unsure cover it or remove it before the arrival date, remove your vehicle if it is within the vicinity of the clean to prevent overspray.

3.REMOVE WASHING FROM CLOTHESLINE –
Remove all washing from the clothesline prior to our arrival. This includes any clotheslines under balconies, as damage to clothing will occur.

4.PRE WARN YOUR NEIGHBOURS -
Pre-warn your Neighbours of your house wash, particular if it is a breezy day.

5.LEAKAGE –
Most Common water entry/leakage points are the bottom of the doors – please ensure you prepare this area by laying old towels or rags on the inside of the doors to prevent the water from coming in while we wash and rinse the door regions. We are not able to determine if the water will go under your doors.

6.NO OTHER TRADESMEN OR EXTERNAL WORKS –
It is imperative that no tradesmen or external works be organised for the same day as our external cleaning. Too many trades make it impossible for us to get our job done properly or at all.

7.POWER POINTS – FUSE BOXES -
Cover/seal any external non weather/water proof electrical items i.e. light switches/security systems etc. We strongly recommend that you tape up ANY exterior power points in the vicinity to avoid power tripping due to water getting into them. If you have a fuse box in a location not easily viewable i.e. under balconies/decks, please ensure these are properly sealed and notify us of their location prior to cleaning.

8.ELECTRIC GARAGE DOOR MOTORS –
If you have an electric garage door and the motor is behind the door itself, it MUST be bagged before our arrival.

9.WOODEN FURNITURE –
Plain/stained/varnished/oiled furniture or timber can bleed, even with clean water. If not removable, cover with a tarp if concerned.

10.POT PLANTS –
Most plants are resilient; however, we do recommend moving them to be safe, and to reduce trip hazards in the work area.

11.FISH PONDS –
Fish ponds in the cleaning areas must be covered before cleaning starts. Advise the technician of their location upon arrival.

12.ONCE WORK COMMENCES –
The work area will be wet and dripping - Please stay away once work commences, there is bleach in the area – speak with technician before the process begins.

13.STUBBORN MARKS AND STAINS –
Marks such as bat droppings and egg splatter are difficult to remove. Depending on the length of time they have been on the surface, will determine if there may be a residual left behind after removal, or if they have eaten through the paint. – How long they have been left on the surface will determine the final result, sometimes they don’t remove 100%
